Born in Caracas, Venezuela, Edgar has established himself in the Midlands (UK) as a sought-after pianist. He has until March 2020 been working on board Cunard’s Queen Victoria Ocean Liner, as the Band Leader and pianist for the Queen’s Room Orchestra. Early this year, worked as the pianist and leader for the jazz trio on board Cunard’s Queen Mary 2.
Edgar has his own Latin Jazz Quintet, performing an eclectic combination of music, with styles such as hard bop, funk, Latin jazz, Brazilian, salsa and Venezuelan music. He has had the opportunity of accompanying and playing along with artists of international reputation such as David Murray and Hal Singer (Ex-Duke Ellington Band Tenor Saxophonist) at the CBSO Centre in Birmingham. He has also played with Wynton Marsalis (during a jam session at The Drum in Birmingham) and sat in with drum educator Jim Chapin. Also, in the UK he has accompanied music personalities such as The Swingle Singers with Don Lusher, Jean Toussaint, Peter King, Alan Barnes, Steve Waterman, Don Weller, Bobby Wellings, Tony Levin, Simon Spillett and as part of Andy Hamilton’s band he has accompanied top tenor sax Scott Hamilton (USA).

Sarah Tweed
Sarah’s first memory of a live jazz gig was when she was about 5 years old. Her father (a jazz pianist) took her to Ronnie Scott’s on a Sunday lunchtime and she was hooked. Sarah grew up listening to an eclectic range of music including, Duke Ellington, Oscar Peterson, Ray Charles, Sarah Vaughan, Blossom Dearie, Ella, Billie Holliday and many others. She sang with her first jazz trio aged 18. After working with guitarist Steve Downes and dipping in and out of other genres Sarah has sung with her partner Edgar Macías introducing some Latin vibes to her repertoire. Sarah recently delighted the audience at legendary jazz venue The Pheasantry in London, has performed on The Queen Victoria cruise liner and has made guest appearances at The Blue Piano, Cafe Artum, Akamba, The Rhodehouse and The Prince of Wales Birmingham. In April Sarah presented an afternoon of jazz at Cafe No 5 in Kinver.
