Sous Chef Kidderminster
A dependable Sous chef is needed to strengthen the team and play a key role in the day-to-day operations of a well-established family-run Italian restaurant with dining on two floors.
Authentic Italian cuisine is served at the restaurant, which includes a large selection of made-to-order pasta dishes, proper pizzas, fish, meat, bruschetta, and antipasti. All of the traditional Italian desserts, such as Panna Cotta and Tiramisu, are made on-site.
As a Sous Chef, you’d be responsible for the kitchen, oversee/support the other chefs on duty, and run the stove during service, cooking fish, pasta, meats, and some hot starters to order. Experience with regional Italian cooking would be beneficial.
The kitchen is a good size and well-organized, and it gets quite busy during peak hours; on weekends. The kitchen has a 5-star hygiene rating and follows a strict hygiene routine that must be followed.
The ideal candidate will be a professional chef who is well-organized and even-tempered, with strong all-around kitchen skills and some experience in Italian cooking, and who is comfortable running the kitchen when left alone.
